Unfortunately, slow loading YouTube, but the general gist is there. And how come I didn’t hear about a Midnight Madness for Georgia Tech or for a Tennessee? Did it just not take place there?

A lot of schools don't have them.
Even at Tennessee it seems to be driven by the men’s program. The Tenn women scrimmaged at the men at one point in the late 90s or early 00s. I read that Bruce Pearl doesn’t like midnight madness so Tennessee doesn’t have one anymore, and Pat apparently isn’t much of a fan of it either.

I can see why coaches would see this as a complete waste of time….
But that’s why I like the end of Calhoun’s quote too: “The kids really enjoy being with college students like themselves.”
Sometimes we forget these are 18-21 year olds still looking to have fun…

They can have fun when they are old broken down has been’s. For now they have a job to do. A serious job. They have to go out and work their tails off making money for those schools!
